Biography

David Wheeler was born in Notting Hill, London, in 1952. He studied and graduated from Paddington College. David now lives and works on the stunning north Cornish coast where he spends his days immersed in his studio. In the last ten years, this very popular artist with his entirely recognisable style has exhibited all over Europe and the USA. David takes is subjects from real life depicting the city as a vital economic hub. The energy and movement emanating from his paintings give us the city experience not only as he sees it, but also as so many of us experience it. Similarly, in his enchanting landscapes he captures the mood and spirit of the location, as well as the luminosity and colour of his favourite areas in Provence and Tuscany. Influenced by the impressionist and colourist developing his own individual style with vibrant colours, textures in oils to give each painting its originality. The challenge for his future work.
