Discover Beyond The Sea Gallery, a haven for contemporary art in Cornwall. Since 1994, we have been showcasing the extraordinary talent of local artists who live and work amidst the inspiring landscapes of Cornwall.
Meet the visionary behind it all, Demelza Prettejohn. With a passion for both art and retail, Demelza's extensive travels and experience in managing retail stores for Laura Ashley have shaped her creative vision. In 1994, she took the leap and opened her first gallery in Truro. Soon after, she expanded her empire to Padstow, just as Rick Stein was making his mark with his incredible fish restaurants, cafes, and shops.
She has 3 beautiful Cornish daughters who, like Demelza herself, have a massive love for Cornwall and the sea.
At Beyond the Sea, we are proud to represent a remarkable roster of artists. From the very beginning, Jessica Cooper has been an integral part of our gallery, blossoming in her artistic journey. Alongside her, we have gathered a talented ensemble including Kit Johns, Nicola Mosley, Christine Brunnock and Silver B.
